Nowdays, the early motherhood of teens brings burden to them as they face adult decion-makings. Some teenage moms feel like they are already in the mid 40's. Everything about teenhood will be missed out. And one thing, in the wake of learning that she is preggy, teenage mom may feel absolutely overwhelmed by anxiety and fears. If you are teen and pregnant, you will feel that way to yourself as well. Some have accomplished perhaps, but, by allowing yourself to be in sudden negative feelings is a discomfort already.
So, what are your options now that you find out you are pregnant unwantedly? For sure there are friends around you would advice you with abortion. But for those who want to please God above, this is not an option. As the Bible clarifies that abortion is certainly against God's law. And in God's eyes the life of an embryo (including the out of wedlock embryo) is treasured. It's a gift!
So, what if-- marrying the baby’s father and raise your child together? Would this be the solution? Well, at some point marriage may save you from big embarrassment. Eventhough a young father feels the said moral responsibility of nurturing the child, still marriage is not always a sensible option. The fact that a young man as well needs to grow emotionally and mentally and he needs to build his ability becoming a good father and a husband. At the young age, he cannot provide stable means for his wife and child financially and this is going to be a big issue in a marriage. Reality shows that hissing into a premature and may be short-lived; marriage will only result in another pain and misery.
So, what if someone wants to adopt your child? Would you take the chance to escaping the embarrasment? Well adoption is better idea than abortion, right? But you should think it through that in spite of the adverse incident in your life, you still have the chance to raise and nurture your own baby.
Raising a child without a partner is certainly not easy. But if you put God first of everything, you can successfully face the challenges of being a teenage mom in the future.
